Approach: My approach to therapy is as unique as each client. I draw from many theories and styles, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, sand tray therapy, holistic wellness and a creative, strengths based approach, while creating a safe atmosphere for each client’s personal exploration. I am dedicated to supporting my clients on their journey toward positive change, finding new perspectives, and learning effective coping skills. I specialize in providing individual therapy and DBT skills creatively and interactively. I utilize sand tray therapy to help clients connect imagery and metaphor, as well as somatic experiencing, assisting the body in gaining an expanded ability to tolerate distress while releasing trauma that has been stored in the body.
Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, experimenting with my camera, checking out live music, hanging out with my dog and cat, cooking, and practicing yoga. I also enjoy reading and absorbing new knowledge and wisdom while supporting my own journey of emotional and spiritual growth.
Quote: “I see each client’s healing journey as sacred, and feel honored to witness and be a part of supporting this journey. It’s a pretty cool thing to hold space for the transformation process of others, and to provide a place for people to let down the veils and barriers that have been blocking the true, loving nature within each person.”
Hello everyone! My name is Charlie, and I am a spaniel/poodle mix rescued from a local humane society. I love greeting our clients in the waiting room and being a part of our DBT groups, providing animal assisted activities. I still have my playful puppy energy, so sometimes I get excited and jump up on the waiting room couches to say hello. I am really smart and I like to show off the tricks that I know, so feel free to invite me to sit, lay down, roll over, and give high fives!
