Approach: My approach to therapy is centered around providing every client with personalized treatment. I utilize a person-centered approach stemming from multiple theories and styles including: Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in addition to multiple other modalities that include a strengths-based approach. This includes creating a safe atmosphere of acceptance, for personal exploration, focusing on the strengths of my clients, providing them the tools and coping skills to lead a life they define as worth living. I aim to work with my clients to create the best therapeutic approach to help my clients accomplish their goals and create the life they want to live.
I am dedicated to helping my clients increase level of functioning while navigating and managing life circumstances, identifying goals in their life, define the meaning of life and what makes them happy. I aim to help my clients recognize patterns of behavior that are no longer working for them and implement new patterns/skills to achieve a new level of functioning. My goal as a therapist is not only to help my clients reduce pain and suffering, but to help my clients realize their own personal power and power of their choices to create a happy and fulfilling life.
Hobbies: In my spare time I enjoy reading, baking, cooking, spending time with my family and friends, going to the lake, going for walks, and going to the movies.
Quote: “My hope is for everyone to have a life worth living. I use a narrative approach with clients in which I help to create change, re-write their story, and overcome challenges to help people reach their goals and effectively implement the changes they want in their lives. Change provides motivation for continued success. I aim to create a safe space for people to feel support and experience compassion without judgment.”
